Its part of our Heritage

Hoxton Park Airport has a long history, which dates back to World War 2. The airport was created in 1942 and has previously been lobbied by aviation bodies to see it revert back to an airport. As part of our Australian heritage we must preserve these important national treasures.  View the article by Aussie Heritage and a study regarding World War 2 aerodromes in NSW by the NSW Heritage Office. Fortunately, a strong case and precedence was set when Old Bar Airstrip was saved (with strong community support) as mentioned in the “Assessing Heritage Significance” document.
