Official Closing Date Postponed

The new official closing date for Hoxton Park Airport is 15th December 2008 at 11pm local.

The NOTAM has been updated and we assume, due to the inept performance of them NOT getting the future hangarage done in time for the displaced tenants!

Here’s what is displayed on the NOTAM today, 17th August 2008:

    WITH EFFECT FROM 0812151300
    FROM 08 150421 TO PERM

    As the daughter of Laurie and Paulette McIver, who set up McIver Aviation at Hoxton Park over 30 years ago, I am devastated that the government has allowed the closure of the airport to go ahead. With the closure and certain re-development, they are erasing not only the memories I have of my late father and his passion for the flying school and the airport, but also an entire community of pilots that share this same passion.
